Delhi-NCR Hit by Early Morning Quake: 4.0 Magnitude Earthquake Sends Shockwaves Through Region

On the morning of February 17, 2025, Delhi-NCR was rocked by a 4.0 magnitude earthquake that sent shockwaves through the region. The quake’s epicenter was near Dhaula Kuan, and it was felt across the entire NCR area, including in Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad.
The tremors caused widespread panic, with residents rushing outdoors. Some people even reported hearing a deep rumbling sound before the tremors began. “It was unlike anything I’ve felt before,” said Arvind Kumar, a resident of South Delhi. “My entire building swayed for a few seconds. It was terrifying.”
Despite the initial shock, no major damage or injuries have been reported. Authorities have advised the public to remain cautious and follow standard earthquake safety protocols. National authorities are conducting a full assessment of potential risks and aftershocks.
