Fresh Terror Attack in J&K: Gunmen Target Labourers, Two Dead in Kulgam

A fresh terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district has claimed the lives of two migrant labourers from Chhattisgarh, sending shockwaves across the country. The victims, who had travelled to the Valley to earn a livelihood, were shot dead by unidentified terrorists in an incident that has once again highlighted the persistent threat of terrorism in parts of the region. Security forces have launched an extensive manhunt to trace those responsible, while political leaders and citizens have strongly condemned the killings.

According to officials, the attack occurred in a village in Kulgam district where the two workers were employed. The labourers were reportedly carrying out their routine work when armed gunmen suddenly opened fire on them. The attack happened within moments, leaving both workers critically injured. Leaders expressed condolences to the bereaved families and reiterated that terrorism cannot succeed in disrupting peace and development in Jammu and Kashmir. Many also called for strict action against those responsible and praised the security forces for launching immediate operations.

The Chhattisgarh government expressed deep sorrow over the deaths of the two labourers and assured every possible assistance to their families. Officials coordinated with authorities in Jammu and Kashmir to facilitate the transportation of the bodies back to their native villages.
