Khushiyan NGO: Caring for the Elderly with Love and Gifts
While Khushiyan NGO’s efforts this Diwali are focused on families, they have a special place in their hearts for the elderly, particularly those living in old age homes. Recognizing that many of these senior citizens often feel forgotten during festive times, Khushiyan is making it a point to visit old age homes and bring gifts to grannies and grandpas who have so much love to give but often find themselves alone.
The gift boxes, thoughtfully curated with items like warm blankets, sweets, and personal care products, are a way of reminding these elderly individuals that they are cherished and valued. More than the material gifts, it is the presence of volunteers, the conversations, and the shared laughter that truly make a difference. For many of these elders, a visit from Khushiyan brings a sense of belonging, as they are made to feel like an important part of the larger community.

Khushiyan’s commitment to spreading joy across all generations is evident in this beautiful gesture. The NGO believes that the elderly deserve just as much celebration and love during Diwali as anyone else, and this initiative ensures that they too experience the warmth of the festival.
