Pakistan Concerned by U.S. Transfer of Cutting-Edge Military Technology to India

Pakistan has expressed grave concerns over the United States’ decision to transfer advanced military technology to India, a move that is expected to bolster India’s defense capabilities significantly. The transfer includes advanced military drones, missile defense systems, and state-of-the-art fighter jets, which Pakistan fears could tip the military balance in favor of India.
Pakistan’s primary concern lies in the potential for an arms race in South Asia, as both nations are nuclear-armed. The introduction of advanced military technology could provoke India to enhance its military capabilities further, prompting Pakistan to follow suit in order to maintain parity. This, in turn, raises the stakes for regional stability, as any miscalculation could escalate into a dangerous conflict.
Despite Pakistan’s concerns, the U.S. maintains that its growing defense partnership with India is aimed at countering China’s influence in the region. However, Pakistan has called for international mediation to ensure that these developments do not trigger an unwanted arms race or threaten regional peace.
