Mumbai Indians Win Historic Second WPL Title, Defeat Delhi Capitals by 8 Runs

Mumbai Indians secured their second Women’s Premier League title with an 8-run win over Delhi Capitals in the final on Saturday.
Batting first, Mumbai posted 149/7 on the board. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur’s superb 66 from 44 balls was the highlight of their innings, with Nat Sciver-Brunt adding a vital 30 runs.
Delhi Capitals’ chase of 150 ended at 141/9. Mumbai’s bowlers stepped up, with Nat Sciver-Brunt taking 3 wickets for 30 runs and Amelia Kerr taking 2 wickets.
Marizanne Kapp top-scored for Delhi with 40, and Jemimah Rodrigues made 30, but they couldn’t take their side over the line.
